My first BJD head ever to properly fit a body, yaaayyyyyy!!!!!

So, um, this is Taiyou. he's still in clay. I need to sand down the back of the head and the connections, but apart from that everything seems to be in order. he does have ears. they're just hidden by his hair. Not that there's anything wrong with them, I just like his hair this way.

Soooooo I got to get this baby casted by the end of this month so that I can carry him around the convention at my school. (it's a general everything convention; anime, games, board games, card games, sci fi, anything really) Um, but what do people think of him? compaired to the original head the body came with ( [link] ) what do you think? Is he ready to be a BJD?

{in this photo the doll head, the wig, and the shorts are made by me. the body was purchases... the pillow and scarf were purchases... the bed was purchased... yeah)

oh, that's just cause the hook's not holding the head down. it's just resting on it. (I mean, the hook could hold the head down, but that's clay there and although it's the proper shape, it doesn't have the strength to hold up to the tension in the strings.) Likewise all the joints are a little wierd right now since the head's off and the strings are loose to acomidate the frequent changing of heads.

I really need to get this boy finished and sanded so that I can finally cast him. then he'll have a head that's actually on, and not ballancing ontop of his neck. Also, he needs some color to him. (namely white teeth and eyebrows)I think he might be looking a bit off because of that.

Um, but for a face without any makeup, does he look to be in order? I mean, he looks a little unique to me. I made him so I'm not really a good judge on this.

and he looks fine its your style... i mean the bishmon house dolls look like nothing else out there to...^_^

DAMN!! those guys must be the weightlifters of the BJD world! Like G I Joe's giant, potentially gay, cousin.

ah, haha, i guess my clay faces to look like my drawing style as well (well if I were consistent between portrate view and frontal view. though Taiyou's got some crazy cheek bones to keep his hair out of his face so that his hair doesn't make his face look too thin... those are some really weird cheek bones.

I just really hope other people will like my style. I mean, I'm really tight on money this year and If I don't want to spend a full month eating ramen and drinking water, I need to make back some of the money I spent on doll materials.
